Sandy wrote, saying: "Thank you for your site, as an ex-halloween queen, this is now a most difficult time of year for me, I know it's only August, but in my old days, (I've been Christian since 1997) August is when I used to start halloween, now I am on research, (I am working with the teens at church, I want to help them), our pastor celebrates a "cute" halloween at the church, the nice costumes, games, candy, I do not agree with this, to me it is compromise with satan, even though no ugly costumes are allowed, I strongly disagree with this, I need more info to back this up, he wants to do it for the kids.
I have burned all my halloween stuff and been delivered, halloween is my weekness, but it has become my strength, I am more disgusted than the average person with halloween because it was a big part of my life, (even the world was disgusted with my idea of halloween, I used dead animals as my decorations and on my costumes) I need more research on the subject, I need to convince everyone. "

Jozhart wrote, saying: "That is very good, thanks for having something to share with my friends about the dangers and where halloween originated. Many people ask me if my children trick or treat and we don't allow our children to participate in anything like that. Unfortanutely, I can't always stress or say everything I know, but your website is just the right answer, Thank you so much for putting it in writing. God bless you!!"

Heather wrote saying: "I came upon your web site as I was gathering research for a paper that I am composing on the roots of Halloween and it's affect on our children in school. The information that you posted was so very sobering, true and informative that I printed it off to share with others. I then searched your site to learn more about the Jeremiah project, I am facinated by the unfolding of the New World Order and many of the subjects that you have researched and God has given you insight into.
I must tell you though that when I came to the page about the Jeremiah project and I saw the picture of you sitting at your desk typing, I was distracted by the photo of the woman in the background. She looks very provocotive in my opinion. Yes, it could be your wife, but even still. . . you are a man of strong convictions and those convictions don't add up with this picture. Thank you very much for taking a stand for righteousness."

Stephanie wrote saying: "I started reading the comments about your article and I felt a real cold draft go down my spine. I am a Catholic, and a poor one at that. I have had a lot of good clean fun on Halloween. The older I got the more I wondered if I SHOULD BE PARTICIPATING IN THIS "HOLIDAY." Most religious based people do not--most strongly apposed are the Catholics, Muslims, and the Jehovah Witness. However, the comments, made on this web site by so called "christians" and others, have convinced me that you are telling us the truth. "Thou doth protest to much." Has me a bit worried. I have not decided how I will handle HALLOWEEN, but I will explain it in plain black and white terms. I enjoy dressing up in costume, my favorite, the vampire. But it is the day in question here. Just because something feels good, doesn't mean it is good."

David wrote saying: "Excellent job on the article. I've been to other apologetic sites that condone Christians partaking in this holiday. Even Dr. Dobson sees nothing wrong with celebrating certain aspects of Halloween and even suggests reading occultic books to our children, such as harry potter. I wouldn't want to be them standing before the Lord on judgement day! "

CFMFCH wrote saying: "Halloween is wrong. But, everyday is God's day. The day of Halloween does have only one redeeming virtue, I have about 100 kids and adults come to my front door. On no other day of the year does this happen. I give out tracts, and witness to all who come to the door. Some think I'm nuts, but some have been saved. Wake up Christians use this day to spread the word of God. Stop running to the hills on Halloween. We must be fishers of men!"

Kathy wrote saying: "I am very moved by your devotion to spread the word of God and give us the truth. I hope everyone finds the courage to be strong in this spiritual war that is happening before us. God bless you and all of us.. These are scary times."

Rob wrote saying: "I appreciate the article. My wife and I young Christians and were wandering about the origins of Halloween. We had suspected that the holiday was of pagan origin but had never researched it. Thank you for educating us.
I also wanted to comment on some of the negative feedback from your article. I was particularly intrigued by the way the so-called pagans chose to refute your arguments with scripture. Why would a pagan use the Bible as a tool for rebuttal when they don't submit to its message? Truly, as C.S. Lewis suggested, we are most vulnerable when we are ignorant. Christians are told to spread the word of God to the ends of the Earth which is why we are compelled to do our part in educating the ignorant. We are not forcing our beliefs upon you any more than our secular educational institutions force Naturalism and Darwinism upon us as children. It is our duty as Christians to give others the opportunity to a fruitful life in the worship and love of our Lord God. We too are secure with our beliefs and convictions as Christians. Why else would we be willing to admit to our belief in God when it is so much easier to worship privately?
Finally, those of you that celebrate halloween are not being judged by Christians. We do not know the true intentions of your heart. All we have is our faith that what the Bible says is true and therefore we must follow its teachings. We realize that as humans we are sinful and separated from God. Sometimes we implement rules for ourselves (religion) in order to minimize the temptations that Satan can use against us. Everyday we fail in our attempts to be righteous and everyday we are cleansed of evil by the shear grace of God. In my opinion, Halloween is a holiday that tempts us to ignore the teachings of the Gospel. It is a distraction from our true purpose in life which is to worship God and share fellowship with our brothers here on earth. The timing of Halloween, Christmas and Easter was deliberately chosen by Christians to overshadow their pagan and worldly counterparts. Since our calendar does not pinpoint the exact day and time of these events (i.e. the birth, death and resurrection) we have set these dates so that we may practice our faith together in fellowship for we know that celebrating our faith alone is far more difficult than it is to celebrate with other individuals that share the same ideologies. "

Susan wrote saying: "I enjoyed your article, thank you for taking the time to write it. I will make some photocopies and pass on to schools and put in the children's bags. I find it interesting and sad how schools do not say anything about Jesus in their Christmas concerts. And yet children are allowed to parade with costumes of evil on Halloween. God gave us the freedom of choice.
You hit it on the nose when you said look at the church's fruit. And it is too bad that even our Christmas and Easter holidays are going away from the true meaning of the holiday. It has become very materialistic i.e. Christmas tree, presents, lights instead of worshipping God, giving thanks, passing presents to those who are truly in need. As for Easter, I don't know what Easter bunnies have to do with Jesus giving up his life for our sins. It all boils down to money, materialism, which is another tactic of Satan's.
Don't feel bad about the negative comments, those of us that are far from God will not see your message clearly. The closer we are to the light, the more wisdom we receive from the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately we are bombarded daily, left, right and center by material things, and other things that don't have any thing to do with our spirituality. God is last on our list until something horrible happens to us, then and only then do we see things more clearly, if we are lucky. If good things keep happening to us, we become untouchable and full of pride like the Devil. We think that no one is better than us. I know, because I've been there. I know that there is a God and there is a Devil, from personal experience. The closer you are to God, the more peace you will have in your heart. The further away from God that you are, you will experience confusion, jealousy, envy, lust, anything that is negative. We are not perfect and God knows it. If Adam and Eve, who were closest to God couldn't make it how can we expect to get anywhere. The only thing we can do is keep trying our very best to treat others like we would want to be treated. To ask ourselves, What would Jesus do in this situation? May God help us all. "

Amy wrote saying: "Thank you for supporting the ideals of Christianity. I admire and love every one of my brothers and sisters in Christ for their awesome deeds. This page is awesome and I'm sure will inform those who have not yet asked Jesus Christ into their hearts about what they are missing out on. It makes me feel wonderful when people tell me I am doing a good job witnessing or when they thank me for my input and I would like to pass that satisfaction onto you. You are all outstanding children of God!!"
For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put his knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see his invisible qualities - his eternal powers and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God. (Romans 1:19-20)

Gina wrote saying: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for displaying the truth about Halloween with scriptures to back up the choice not to celebrate it. My husband thinks I am a fanatic because I don't want our children to participate. He isn't saved, of course, and I am constantly mocked and verbally attacked for my beliefs. Please pray for his conversion if you can find the time."

East928 wrote saying: "Good job on the Halloween message! There seems to be a movement among many Christians (although not enough) to get away from celebrating Halloween. My church has a "Fall Festival" as an alternative, although I'm not sure how I feel about celebrating a substitute event. "

Tammie wrote saying: "Thank you for telling the truth about Halloween. So many people participate in this occultic celebration without even the slightest clue about what it really is. Like "lambs to the slaughter" they have no idea of the dangers to themselves and their children of the "harmless fun" of trick-or-treating."

Wileena wrote saying: "Amen! Amen! Amen! I agree with you wholeheartedly."

Patty wrote saying: "It took me a long time to find information about halloween but I was glad that I found you. It covers everything I could have hoped to find. I will use this in my church. We are against halloween and so is my church but this will bring halloween down ot their understanding. The best thing I liked was the way you used the scriptures to back up the truth about halloween. We can know the evilness of halloween and still choose to take part in it but it's another thing to see what scripture has to say right before our eyes. I think this will be the turning point for alot of people. I've been trying to find occult symbols to show the congregation but haven't had much success. Would you know where I can find them? Thanks again, You have helped alot of people."

Jim wrote, saying: "What a great and informative page! I plan on showing it to my 11 year old son who's not real comfortable with Halloween as it is, however a little more reinforcement wouldn't hurt. I've felt the same way about this insidious "holiday"- have you noticed the momentum it's gained in just the last few years? It's pathetic! And how 'bout those eyeballs you get when you tell someone you feel Halloween is "Satan's Holiday"? At least it makes 'em think.... "

Jan wrote, saying: "Thank you so much for your website on Halloween. The link was sent to me by a friend who lives in the US... I live in Australia. I asked my friend for information about Halloween as in recent years the practice of "Trick or Treat" has become popular here. Last year I asked some visiting children why they were dressing up and asking for sweets and they didn't know. They informed me that their parents thought it would be a good idea.
I'm glad that I read your site. As a new Christian (since May of this year) it disturbs me that so many children innocently take part in Halloween. I have sent a link to your site to several of my friends for their information."

Ellen wrote, saying: "I have always known that it was wrong to celebrate Halloween. I needed something to back up my convictions and to explain to my friends why I wasn't going to the youth group party. Your web site gave me the evidence I needed, thank you very much. I was able to share in my high school Sunday school class about the evils behind this holiday and the symbolism of all the customs. Most teens don't realize what Halloween is really all about."

Alesa wrote, saying: "Hi, I just read some of your page on halloween and I really liked it. I have an assignment for one of my college classes to find information on Halloween, so of course I jumped at this wonderful opportunity to let people know that Halloween is bad. I was looking arround on the web, not finding much of anything, until I looked at this one. I got really excited to find this and the Bible verses you included and I was even more excited to find that in this web page you have given the message of salvation. What a great way to witness! Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I think this is a really good page and there needs to be more like this one."

Lance wrote, saying: "This is a very good article that everybody should read. I think you should write more about what actually takes place on Halloween, in detail, so people will realize the seriousness of it."

Joe wrote, saying: "Outstanding web page about the dangers of Halloween. I don't celebrate Halloween and your web page reinforces why I don't think that anyone should."

Al wrote, saying: "I like what I have read. One problem . . . I just printed the "halloween.html" and while it looks good on the screen, with yellow against the black background, it is almost impossible to read the yellow when printed on white paper. Keep up the good work. "

Elizabeth wrote, saying: " First of all I want to commend you on an excellent article reflecting the history of Halloween. I found this article as I searched the web for something I could give my fellow co-workers. Every single one of them is a church going person that is very sure they are good Christians except one. The only one that does not go to church anywhere is the only one besides me that does not like Halloween or anything connected with it believing there is evil behind it all.
I printed your article on my printer expecting to give copies to all my co-workers. My supervisor's father was a Baptist minister. And she has announced we are going to have a Halloween party after asking all the staff if we wanted one. Even though two of us did not want it, we are getting it anyway.
I am disappointed in the quality of the article as it comes across my printer. The text is all in orange which is not very dark except the most important parts such as the scriptures which is in yellow. I cannot copy this on a copier and even if I give my original to them in hopes they would be honest enough to read it and pass it on, some would not be able to read it. I have very good eyes and the yellow text is difficult for me to see. The other that wear glasses and are up in their years may not be able to see it all--the most important part is the hardest to see.
Not to be critical, but I believe your purpose is to get this message to as many people as possible. It is with this thought in mind that I share my concerns with you thinking that perhaps you could change the color of the text so everybody that looks at it - would be able to see it and be able to read it.
The manner in which it is set up with no hint of any slant toward Christianity in the beginning of the article may capture the minds of those that are not interested in "religion." This seems like a good method of getting their attention--those that need it the most. God bless you in your effort to let your light shine."

Linda wrote, saying: "Thank you for the great information. Problem exists in trying to print information. Because of color of background and color of font, the scriptures are nearly faded out and the text if very light. Don't let Satan win by not putting this great tool in a readable and sharable format in the hands of determined Christians! Thanks again. "

Since numerous people have requested to print out the article on Halloween, I have prepared a text only version that can be viewed and printed. It does not include any of the graphics. [ed., Jeremiah Project]

Criticism

Kathryn wrote saying: "Why do some Christians equate pagan with satan? They are completely unrelated. The Devil is Judeo/Christian concept. Just because something is non-Christian, doesn't make it automatically evil. Just because something is Christian, doesn't make it automatically good. In the year following the Council of Nicea in the 5th Century, more Christians were killed by other Christians than in the 300 years of Roman persecution in the Colosseum in Rome. They were killed because they did not agree upon the nature of the Trinity. I doubt that God was pleased, even though the "winners" say so."

Russell wrote saying: "I think Prayers are spells, and the devil tries to spoil people's good times. Although I can see your point. It's a little unbalanced."

Aubrey wrote saying: "I have to admit i was raised in believing in God and striving to be righteious. However, i have come into the study of Wicca. While i dont practice it i do see similarities, as there is similiarity in all religion. We must understand ALL gods are of one god, and we all worship God and give thanks together. I am ashamed that we as children of God or Goddess (however you wish) cannot get along. We cannot see that each of us holds a piece of the truth. We are ALL made in his image we are ALL loved by him EQUALLY. For those people who say they are christian and who preach about God and what he wants perhaps you should look at yourself and ask "what would God do in this situation?" As at the last supper, Jesus knew Judas would betray him, yet he did not raise his voice or hand, and he loved him still. That is a lesson in itself.
I was brought up to watch spooky movies, dress up, and eat candy or sweets on Halloween, none of this "halloween is devil worship" business. Not many christians believe it so. We all carry our own ideas and feelings as well as our own interpretations of things, to try and say that someones views, feelings, or thoughts are wrong, evil and bad is nonsense. Practice what religion you want, believe what you want, and Remember, God hates NO ONE. By putting up an article saying something is evil and wrong is judging it, what is one of the highest christian principles? DO NOT JUDGE. Hate the sin love the sinner, i was often told, this i hold in my heart, forgiveness is for everyone.
And to that young girl, i think her name was Ashleigh, shes very smart well educated sounding woman, She didnt sound confused about religion at all.
Do what you will and believe what you will, but be careful what you do in the name of God, for it may not be his will, and that makes you a blasphemer. "

2. In my entire life I have never met nor seen any one worshiping Satan on Halloween.
3. Halloween is only a pagan holiday if you are a pagan, right?
4. Can't we let kids have fun one night? I mean my kids have never heard Satanic Stories and histories. It's only the adults that put a spin on things."

Joanne wrote saying: "Please do not misrepresent the holiday of Halloween. You only cause fear in your fellow Christians and make it difficult for those of us who follow a different path. Neo-Pagans are not Satan worshipers."

Amy wrote saying: "I think you take halloween and witches way to seriously. While some people do worship satan witchcraft is not all about that. Some of those people believe in a higher power not in satan and surely don't worship him. God talks to us everyday in our hearts and he tells us to decide for ourselves and to try thyings and you can't condemn people for doing that or believing in something...somethings are older and even more ancient than religion and there was a reason that people believed that."

An unidentified visitor wrote saying: "You used images of gouls, jack-o-lanterns, demons, etc on your web page for imphasis. According to your own statements, and quotes from the Bible, to use these things constitutes evil, and denotes the users of said items as followers of Satan. What a hypocrite you are. May you burn in Hell just as you said other users of pegan paraphanalia will."

Brandy wrote saying: "Okay, first I would like to establish the fact that I am a Christian... I believe in Him fully and would follow Him to the ends of the Earth.
But, I have to disagree with the way in which you are promoting the idea that Satan is bad. The American idea of Halloween is not meant to be satanic. Christian children would never think it was so. As a special effects enthusiast, I think Halloween is one of the coolest nights of the year becuase it is acceptable in society for that one night to set up your house to be scary. It is socailly acceptable to run fog machines and to have fires burning in your front yard or to scare people. You also have the right to be scared yourself. Halloween is my favorite holiday to celebrate because I honestly don't feel like I should be out there yelling at America for defiling it like I do at Easter and Christmas because they are not being taken seriously any longer.
Honestly, I do not believe that God is going to be dissapointed in us because we dressed up like Belle from Beauty and the Beast and walked around the neighborhood collecting free candy. That is all Halloween means to most of America today. Do we really need to put an end to it?
Thanks for listening. I just felt the need to express my opinion. "

Wasp81 wrote saying: " I am the editor of the newspaper at my school and am writing an article on the history of halloween. I found your site to be very helpful in confirming the factual information I've already gathered.
However, I am wiccan and of celtic and druidic descent and your page has somewhat disturbed me. I can understand that you may feel it is your Christian duty to warn off others like yourself who may celebrate halloween, but to intentionally bash paganism is unnecessary and unfair.
I am very secure in my beliefs as a pagan, and I'm sure you consider yourself secure in your own ways, but it is an insecure and ignorant person who would cut down another belief and misrepresent a religion they know nothing about. It is wrong to portray us as satanic when you are not aware that paganism is a nature-based belief. Unlike many forms of Christianity, we do not solicit our religion to others. So there is no need to try and sway people who enter onto your site, because unless they are searching for paganism, they will not find it.
Out of respect and because we don't solicit our beliefs, we as pagans do not feel threatened by other religions. Nor do we feel the need to criticize them just because we do not agree with them.
My family is Baptist entirely except for me. Yet, because I am polite, respectful of them and love them, I attend their church periodically with them and bow my head during their prayers. I believe it's not impossible for many different religions to live side by side. The Christian interpretation of a pagan does not coincide with what we are even slightly. "Judge not, that ye not be judged."

Redre wrote saying: "I was outraged while reading the article on you site about Halloween and how it promotes satanic and Pagan rituals and evil. I have been practicing Pagan for many years and I know for a fact that Pagan's do NOT have anything to do with your satan. We believe in nature as the guiding force of life and worship The ALL or Menoh, not your satan. All the information about Pagan rituals being evil by satan is crap. It is all just christian crap trying to explain things that you know little about. Evilness is something that come from the lack of faith in nature, not in a mythilogical creature made up a few thousand years ago. What christian need is tolerance to other religions. They need to understand that in order to live in harmony, as many claim to want, you much first understand other as well as yourself. Pagans do not sacrifice creatures for pure enjoyment. That is satanism. Pagans live by laws of nature, not by what a little book says. I know some people just like you who say who bad Pagans are and how much better christianity is. How do they know? How do you know? Pagans only turn evil when they stop believing in nature as thier guiding force. They are no longer Pagan then. They are then looked at by Menoh and thier judgement comes. Learn about what you are marking as evil before you do so, because a person who is nieve is the person who gets judged worst. "

Ashleigh wrote saying: " In general I disagree with your views. But I find of particular interest your comments on Halloween. I find it curious that you carefully document the pagan influence on Halloween, using that as an explanation of Halloween's Satanist purpose, while ignoring the fact that Christmas and Easter are both based on pagan festivals. Most of the symbols involved in both come from Christianity absorbing local pagan faiths.
Christian scholars have agreed that based on references in the Bible and on when censuses were usually conducted, Jesus was actually born in the fall, around October. The date of December 25 was chosen by the Roman government because a winter's solstice festival centering around the God Mithras was on that day. They figured that since Mithras was a sun god, an all powerful god, it wouldn't be that hard to make the substitution. The symbols of the Christmas tree, the giving of presents, the wreath, the decoration of a house with holly, ivy, fir branches, and mistletoe, even the use of the colors of red and green come from pagan traditions. A truly authentic Christmas celebration therefore, would be celebrated in October with only a manger. No presents, no Santa Claus, no colored lights or Christmas trees. I doubt anyone be interested in Christmas then, but at least you wouldn't be following the ways of Satan.
Easter as well is mainly based on symbols from pagan religions. The timing is close to pagan festivals of the spring equinox, an appropriate festival of rebirth. It would make sense that if you're celebrating the rising of your Messiah, you would supplant the pagan festivals of their nature gods returning with the sun and spring. The Easter Bunny and Easter eggs have nothing to do with the rising of Christ. Why are these distortions of the truth of your religion any less tolerable than the absorptions of paganism in Halloween?
I'm sure you've been told before that pagans have nothing to do with Satan. Wiccans and other followers of nature-religions don't even believe in him. (Apparently, that is a danger in itself, according to your article.) Yes there are Satanists out there, a few of which do crimes in the name of their religion. But the Crusades and the Holocaust were crimes, and yet they were committed in the name of Christianity, along with the slaughter of many innocents in so-called witch-hunts during the Inquisition. Those "witches" were not tortured and killed for crimes against God, but because their properties, once those people died, was surrendered to the Church. Sounds like a conflict of interests to me.
I study all religions, and I believe they all have their strengths and weaknesses, but I have a personal issue with Christians who use their bible to hurt others. I have known many kind, giving Christians. Unfortunately, I have known just as many hateful, judging fanatics who use the Word of God to judge others and only spread hurt and pain. I find a lot of joy in religion, but people such as yourself turn my stomach and sadden me, because you turn so many people away from religion altogether, keeping them from finding the hope and joy so many find in faith in any religion.
I am one of those children you claim to be protecting. I am 16. I am not a Christian or a Satanist, nor do I belong to an organized religion. I do have faith of my own, and I cherish it. I find it disgusting that instead of setting an example of love and giving, you only show hatred and bigotry. You give the true Christians I have known a bad name.
You don't need to read the Bible to know that God wants us to be kind and forgiving with one another, and that to do otherwise is to go against him."

WAKE UP CHRISTIANS! What Ashleigh expressed above is common among those who don't know the Lord - yet are seeking. When I was her age and seeking, I felt almost exactly the same way! I, too, was confused and didn't understand the difference between "organized religion" and the saving faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. It is difficult to embrace a religion and listen to its message when it seemingly contradicts itself and participates in hypocricy (consider carefully what she said about Christmas and Easter). I am preparing articles discussing those holidays, among others - that Christians participate in despite their non-biblical origins.
As Christians who put their faith in a risen living God, we must be more consistent not only in our message but in our outward and visible behavior. That is what the God seeking sinner generally sees. When they see behavior not too unlike the "world", why then should they give credence to our message? Until they have a personal encounter with the risen Lord, they only hear and see what we Christians present. Why else do you supposed scripture says, "As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." (1 Peter 1:14-16) [ed., Jeremiah Project]

Until you started condemning people for practicing this holiday, it was very informative. Not only are you being hypocritical to yourself, but you are also being so to your "religion". I have been a Christian my whole life, and I was baptized at the age of 12. I have always thought it wrong to be critical of other religions out of ignorance. What ever happened to "love thy neighbor"? I have been studying world religions since I was 16. I don't understand how anyone who has any love of God or belief in God can condemn so many others. Why can't you keep it to yourself. I thought the Lord was a vengeful God, not spiteful and hateful. You "Christians" call your selves true followers and justify your actions by saying you are doing Gods work. I don't remember anywhere in the Bible that God asks you to try and change people. He just says to not participate. I've known too many Christians who are so closed minded and so judgmental, it's no wonder why people are looking for other ways of life.
You commented on one of your emails by a teen that she is saying this only because she is not a true follower and is ignorant. How can a person who follows such a good and loving God be son cruel. Who are you to say that she is not a follower. I am a follower of the Lord, but I still admit that almost ALL of the Christian holiday were pagan. Who are you to say what the true religion is? If someone wants to worship God who are you to say what way is proper? What are you a psychic and can see into the past or future to know this? If I am correct, Christianity has changed considerably over the years due to the King's and Pope's own personal beliefs before the separation of church and state. Did you know Christians believed in reincarnation until around 500 A.D., but a King did not like that so he changed it. How much of the Christianity today is original. Things have been added and erased from the religions true form to suit peoples beliefs. How can you say the religion you now follow is at all the one and true religion. I have no problem with pagans. If you know anything at all about them you would know that they do not even believe in God or the Devil, so how can you say they are Satanic? They follow their own set of Gods and have their own holidays, most of which have been taken over by Christians. True pagans have had a colored past, but so have Christians. Try to remember that things aren't always going to be how YOU want them to, and to truly exist in this world you have to take and accept how things are. If these people want to follow their own religion, fine. Their not trying to stop you from practicing your beliefs even if they believe them to be wrong. No one should believe theirs is the only religion. It just makes all us other non-predjudicial Christians look bad. It's people like you who prevent people from having their own opinions. Are you also a racist? Is it not the same to condemn others for their religion or their race or sex? Every one believes what they want. Oh Well, to each his own. "

We were searching the internet looking for ideas for our annual halloween party done in conjuction with our local orphanage. There are so many serious halloween sites, that it was great to see a funny one. We thought that your site was absolutely hillarious! Just imagine, there are some christian nuts out there that take things soooo seriously that they would miss the humor in the site, and think that you were serious! Too bad for them, taking everything in life so literally! Keep up the good work - maybe in February you can do a funny site about the "Evils of Valentine's Day". "

Katie Joe wrote, saying: "Your web page www.jeremiahproject.com/culture/halloween.html is one sided and very misleading. Samhain has nothing to do with Satan. Absolutely nothing. As far as Halloween being a crime ridden night, anytime we send our children into the streets enmass there will be people out there ready for the prey. If we all gave out candy on Easter there would be incidents of poison as a matter of fact i read a little bit about Easter eggs being the cause of similar problems. Speaking of Easter eggs (another tradition based in pagan religion) where is you page about the dangers of having Tommy take his picture with the Easter bunny? Samhain is a night for remembering our ancestors especially those who have died in the last year. I freely admit the paganism has had a bloody history. As i hope you will admit that Christianity has the same. The crusades come to mind. So do the burning times. Your pages is filled with lies lies lies. designed to promote hate and intolerance devout Christians have been some of the best people I have ever known. But "true Christians will hopefully see your lies for what they are. EVIL destructive to any possibility of peace and love among nations. Love thy neighbor. It is not at all loving to torture and burn your neighbors. Nor is it anymore loving to spread lies and willful deceit. Search your soul and let the creator by what ever name you call "him" and may "he" show you the error of your ways. "
